Have you ever wanted to create your own dinosaur-style theme park which your own unique touch, well now you can with Jurassic World Evolution 2. With a wide variety of dinosaurs making a total of 84 species of dinosaurs excluding any of the DLC. This number almost doubled the number of dinosaurs in the first game. Jurassic World Evolution also includes a whole load of additional content such as new game modes, more decertations to decorate your park, and a whole load of building customization.
JWE2 also includes two new types of dinosaurs, marine, and avian dinosaurs adding more variety and allowing more diversity into your park. I, myself have been wanting to have these additions since the first Jurassic World Evolution came out, so seeing this being added made the game a whole lot more exciting. The addition of more decorations was also a major addition to the game, one of my favorites was the environmental decorations such as different types of vegetation and how they changed depending on the current biome, and the addition of rocks which allows for some major diversity for your enclosures. This allows you to fully customize your park allowing you to house different environments for your dinosaurs and making it feel more lively.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 also brings in new game modes which provide more playability. The three game modes are campaign, chaos theory, and lastly challenge mode. The campaign takes place after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom where you are tasked with protecting the now-roaming dinosaurs to ensure that these animals aren't abused by people or even harm others out of fear and panic. Chaos Theory on the other hand is where you take control of Jurassic Park and are tasked with preventing it from failing as it did in the first film, this playing more like a "What if" style mode. Challenge mode plays as a more difficult version of Jurassic World Evolution with certain requirements you are tasked to meet and to have to get a total of 5 stars to complete.
Although Jurassic World Evolution 2 adds some more micromanagement such as the addition of scientists which you may assign certain tasks such as researching new additions, fossil hunting, extracting DNA and so fourth. This changes how fast you may progress through the game compared to its predecessor. Although it luckily isn't too much of a hassle, it adds additional mechanics allowing the player to actively allocate their resources and create goals for themselves and what they may want to build up too rather than mindlessly clicking on research after completing something
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a major improvement compared to the first one as it adds some new mechanics which some of which can be a bit tedious at times and adds in more micromanagement. However, it does add more customization adding even more hours of content. It also receives numerous free content updates which add even more to the game and the occasional DLC which adds even more to the game. Overall I'd give it a 9 out of 10 goats.
